So the hotels are getting nervous in New Orleans and may just shut down some hotels on Sunday. Townies, visitors, and organizers here in NOLA are so upset and blame gay bloggers. "Gay bloggers" I gasped! Well it appears all the buzz with gay bloggers who by the way are NOT physically here in New Orleans was that Decadence was doomed and Gustov was about to hit NOLA hard and ruin the event. This appears to be putting a nail in the Decadence coffin in what may now cost the town 25 plus million in lost revenues due to this "gay buzz" created today in gay blog speculation. (Well, that and Fox news...)
Personally, not only have I promoted this great event (did I mention how much money gets raised for AIDS?) my partner and I are here until they kick us out and feel bad that our own community is causing gay people to cancel just to create an interesting blog post, causing panicked gays who read these blogs to start leaving in droves....
Enough about that....we had dinner at Pat O'Brien's, went to the Bourbon Pub, then Oz and are now heading to the Corner Pocket. We will end our night after a "contest" that is being held at Cafe Lafite in Exile.....
Marc doesn't feel like taking pictures tonight so here is one from a bartender at Oz....I promise starting tomorrow I will personally snap away until it is obnoxious!

Ah... the good old Big Easy.
Louisiana is home to me and I miss it dearly. I spent some time wokring in New Orleans and you guys are going to have a blast.
Have a few drinks for the rest of us who can't be there.
Sounds like Gustav won't even potentially arrive until several days from how. Seems plenty of time to have some fun! It's sad some are canceling, but some in our community love the drama of it all ("Girl, I had to cancel because a hurricane was a'comin!)
A few years back, we had planned to go from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas with friends, and the other couple panicked because of a storm threat. So we cancelled the trip--and the storm went a completely different direction. Bummer.
